Library FAQ

Students: You are responsible for everything you check out.
Chromebooks, chargers, textbooks, library books

Library Hours
7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday when school is in session.

Student ID number and/or  SHHS ID card is required for check out.

Book check out limit is 5.

Checkout is for three weeks. 

Damaged books and broken computers
Any items that are not usable  will is charged the full replacement price; liquid damage, torn pages, broken binding,  broken screens and keyboards, damaged chargers etc. Computer replacement is from $250 to $300.

Lost Computers or Books
The charge is for full replacement cost. Fines are removed upon return. You are responsible for everything you check out.


Can I come to the library during class?
The teacher must arrange for students to come to the Library/Media Center. Teachers must fill out a Destination Pass completely.

Is there a printer I can print to?
No, the Library/Media Center has no printers for students. You must email your teacher and they will print with their staff pass.

How do I renew a book?
Bring the book to the front desk and we can renew it. Please renew books prior to the due date.

All fines and fees must be paid
prior to attending school events, Homecoming, Winter Ball, Morp, Prom and Graduation.

 

 

Library Etiquette
In order to promote a quiet and safe environment for our students and staff we ask the following:

  • Keep your conversations to a minimum. This is a quiet study space.
  • Please no cell phones and do not make receive calls until you are outside of the library.
  • Please keep tables clear for other students and staff that come in.
  • It is forbidden to bring in food or drinks as it may damage books and electronics.
  • Students must have completed Destination Pass filled out completely by teacher.
  • Student must be working or you will be sent back to the classroom.
