Learning Center

The Learning Center was founded in the 2006-07 academic year to offer a secure and comfortable environment for students to receive support with their general education coursework. Modeled after how accommodations are accessed in college, students can request permission from their teachers to visit the Learning Center for assistance.  

The Learning Center serves as a productive quiet workspace for students  where they  focus on their assignments or exams either individually or as as part of a group project. Teachers also have the option to recommend the Learning Center to students if they believe it would be a beneficial learning environment.

We provide accommodations  in reading, audio books, computer use and technologies involving text to speech, word processing, presentation software and internet accessibility tools.
